Grace Lutheran Creche & Kindergarten

At Grace Lutheran Creche and Kindergarten, we know parents and carers want the best for their children. As passionate providers of high quality, inclusive Christian education and care for children, we have always shared that view.

That is why it is with sadness, due to the need for significant upgrades to the centre, ongoing reduction in enrolments, and staff recruitment pressures, we inform you of the intention to close Grace C&K at the end of 2024.

We wish to thank our community that has supported us and allowed us to be an important part of their lives over many years. Grace C&K commenced operation in 1966 and has a long and proud history and there are many people who will be sorrowful about its closure. As a Christian community, support has already been offered to staff and can be made available for any families that are struggling with this decision.

At Grace Lutheran Creche and Kindergarten, we exist because of a group of congregational members wanted to create a place where families could leave their children in a safe Christian environment.

Our Programs

At Grace Lutheran Creche and Kindergarten, we offer play based learning programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and the Lutheran Church of Australia Christian Framework.

Nursery

6 weeks to 15 months

Our Nursery is a safe, calm, and nurturing space for our littlest children to explore at their own pace.

One on one time, small group learning opportunities and a sense of belonging are prioritised with lots of cuddles, engagement and quiet time.

Toddler

15 months to 2 years

Our toddlers are starting to show their independence and we support their growing desire to become more independent and encourage the development of their confidence and self-help skills.

Junior kindy

2 to 3 years

Our Junior Kindy children are growing up fast! They are starting to extend their social skills and their bodies and brains through more challenging experiences!

Children are supported to grow and play, adventuring throughout our facility in different environments both in and outside.

Pre-kindy

3 to 4 years

Our Pre-Kindy children are curious learners which our Educators support through play based learning.

Our Pre-Kindy children will also be getting ready for Kindy next year so our educators ensure the children have the skills they will need to flourish when they transition. We start opening them up to larger groups and supporting self help skills.

Kindergarten

4 to 5 years

Our Kindy children participate in a getting ready for Prep program with our qualified Early Childhood Teacher and learn valuable life skills to prepare them for school under the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines Framework.

All meals are included in your fees.

Our mealtimes are positive, relaxed and children are encouraged to help themselves to what they would like to eat.

All of our food is fresh, healthy and is supplied daily by The Wellbeing Food Co.
